Overview

Corporate Financial Analysis develops advanced methods for evaluating corporate performance, financial condition, and strategic alternatives. Topics include financial statement interpretation, accounting quality, earnings management, horizontal and vertical analysis, ratio analysis, cash-flow assessment, working-capital management, forecasting, pro forma statements, operating and financial leverage, cost of capital, capital budgeting, and enterprise valuation.

Students integrate spreadsheet modeling, external research, comparable-company and precedent-transaction analysis, capital-structure evaluation, dividend policy, financial-distress assessment, and scenario analysis. Emphasis is placed on identifying performance drivers, normalizing financial data, communicating assumptions, and presenting concise recommendations to managers, investors, and other stakeholders.
