Overview
This advanced course examines the structure, spatial relationships, vascularization, innervation, developmental origins, and functional integration of male gestational anatomy. It establishes precise anatomical terminology before progressing through regional and systems-based analysis, with emphasis on pelvic and abdominal implantation structures, gestational organs, fascial and connective-tissue planes, neurovascular pathways, and the anatomical adaptations associated with pregnancy.
Students analyse anatomical landmarks, normal variation, developmental patterning, and relationships between structure and physiological function. Practical learning uses anatomical models, diagrams, ultrasound, cross-sectional imaging, three-dimensional representations, and case-based identification exercises. The course develops accurate structure identification, clinically relevant spatial reasoning, interpretation of imaging findings, and communication of anatomical information in diagnostic, procedural, and patient-care contexts.
