Overview
This experiential course provides supervised professional practice in male gestational science, obstetrics, perinatal care, reproductive health education, patient advocacy, healthcare administration, research support, and community programming. Students undertake an approved placement governed by a learning agreement, qualified supervision, confidentiality procedures, professional boundaries, and institutional safety requirements.
Students translate academic knowledge into applied work through literature review, educational-material development, interview preparation, community outreach, data organization, policy analysis, or observation of approved professional workflows. The course emphasizes ethical and culturally responsive conduct, accurate documentation, effective communication, risk recognition, and critical evaluation of the social and institutional contexts shaping male gestational healthcare. Students do not perform clinical procedures or provide unsupervised medical advice.
